The General Feed and Seed Sign Gets some Fresh Paint

I stopped by General Feed and Seed today to say hi to the baby chickens and pick up some more seeds for my garden, and saw that they are giving their sign a refresh. I like this sign quite a bit, it has very friendly character and it is great to see they they are keeping it up.

Seeing the chicks, doves and parakeets at General reminded me of when they used to have the pigeon coop and semi-wild chickens running around. I kind of miss that, wild chickens are always fun to glimpse running through the brush… not so sure I miss the hundreds of ferral cats that used to own the property where Sutter Maternity Hospital is now, but I definitely think that there should still be chickens hanging out!
